Aline Fourier is a symbolist painter, multimedia artist, healer and writer. She works in many mediums — from oil painting to pastels, to book publishing and healing modalities — to explore the ocean of collective memory, experience and the subtlety of spirit in the natural world.

Aline’s paintings are influenced by her emotions, dreams and the collective unconscious. They combine abstraction and realism to provide glimpses of the organic and the feminine and to represent her love of the earth. Her work has been shown in galleries throughout Maine and New Mexico. Her illustrated poetry was presented at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.

Aline holds a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Connecticut and has studied extensively in Eastern and Western psychological disciplines and shamanism. In 1983, she completed training in Psychosynthesis Counseling with Tom Yeomans and Mandala Symbolism with Jungian therapist Dr. Robert Johnson. In 1985, Aline founded Creative Response, Inc., with the vision of gathering creative people to collaborate on artistic projects that promote beauty, support individual and collective awareness and healing. At that same time, she founded Health Source, a network of health practitioners. With a healing practice of her own, Aline conducted workshops on stress reduction, meditation, imagery exploration and the power of listening and creating from one’s inner visions. Metaphysical well-being, trusting our inner envisioning and creativity are themes running through all of Aline’s work.

Since the 1990s, Aline Fourier has concentrated on creative expression. She published prose works in national magazines and won awards for her photography. She created and produced The Pain Reliever, a healing tape with original music marketed nationally for Hospice. She was co-founder / publisher / designer of the Maine Gallery & Studio Guide, a comprehensive guide of museums, galleries and artist studios for the State of Maine. Through Creative Response Inc. she has illustrated, authored, co-authored and published a variety of books concerned with consciousness, healing and creativity. Most notably, her cookbook about conscious eating, Everything I Eat Nourishes Me, A Cookbook for Body & Soul, was a New Mexico Book Award Finalist in 2011 and 2013 Finalist in the New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards.

Her most recent work includes a series of mandala symbolism paintings, Shifting Realms, A Conversation Without Words, made in collaboration with her (now late) husband as he dealt with cognitive decline from Alzheimer’s. Her curatorial project, Another Room, is a growing anthology of creative expressions on death, dying and the unbroken continuity of life. Aline lives in the Ortiz Mountains of Cerrillos, New Mexico, just outside Santa Fe.
